Teddy
Teddy was adopted by a woman whose sister had adopted previously. So Teddy went to a family with another Dane “Kylo” waiting to show him the ropes. They are a matching set.

Elsa is so lucky to have found her family, and she gets to nap with the grandson and granddaughter. From the shelter in Yuba City to a wonderful home with people who love her. This is why we do Rescue, to see an outcome like this. Thanks to the Hunter family for loving Elsa.
Thanks to Jennifer for sending these photos of her rapidly growing gorgeous Merle puppy.
goose’s owner Jill sent us this update and great photo of her boy Goose and his new brother Harley. “goose is doing great, he just finished an obedience class and is eating well and growing. He and Harley are now best friends and Goose loves his morning walks and car rides!”
Thanks to the Rice family, who stepped up to volunteer to pick up the boy at the Salinas shelter. We were overwhelmed with great Great Dane people willing to drive. It is so nice to see what a generous, caring Dane community we have out there. A HUGE thanks to all who volunteered to help! We love you!!
There is a sweet two year old Harlequin Great Dane boy in the Salinas shelter who needs out! He is available to us on December 26th or after. We are looking for someone or someones to help transport this boy to Fairfield and we will bring him “home” from there. If you are interested in a road trip this Christmas season, please email Colleen at [email protected] Thank you in advance for your help bringing this sad Harlequin to a safe harbor.
Just wanted to post this message to let everyone know we are still up and running! It has been very slow these last few months, but we are still looking forward to taking in Danes in need should they arise. We hope you wonderful Great Dane people are well out there and we send our love to you and your beloved Danes!
OK, so this photo has nothing to do with Great Dane Rescue, but I loved it so much I had to share! This is my son’s girlfriend Lisa’s birthday picnic, complete with pony who just happened to walk by with it’s owner. Honestly! (I guess I need better friends….)
