Beau and The Hideous Toy

“I refuse to play with this toy, and you can’t make me!”

Name: Norah ………. Occupation: Gopher Hunter

Name: Norah ………. Occupation: Gopher Hunter

Norah came in as a baby puppy with her father and was quickly adopted by the Hohl family. She luckily now lives on a ranch with kids, other dogs, and all manner of farm animals. From the photos below, I would guess she is happy!

Yes, that is Norah doing her job taking care of the gophers.

Another Great Photo of Opal

Her coat just keeps getting shinier with every photo!

Stevie (formerly Sabrina) In Her New Home

Stevie (formerly Sabrina) In Her New Home

Thanks to the Cook family for adopting Stevie and giving her the type of wonderful home we are sure she never had! Her tail has healed well and she is benefitting from long daily walks and lots of love and attention.

Opal

Opal

Opal is pictured with her new brother Angus. Opals owner, Roberta, reports Angus is slowly warming up to Opal, but she suspects that is due to his age (11+) and Opals youth! Thanks to Roberta and Keith for adoption Opal and giving her a splendid home. Soon after Opal’s adoption, she started having medical issues. She was then diagnosed with a pancreatic insufficiency and was started on medication. It has made a huge difference to her coat and her weight. She was a voracious eater, but was not gaining weight. Now her coat is shiny, she has put back on the weight she lost, and seems to be much happier. Thanks to the Dishno’s for dealing with Opal’s medical concerns. Opal is a very lucky girl to be in such a caring home!

Grady

Grady

Grady was adopted by a long time Rescue Dane owner, Kathy. This is what she wrote to us about Grady: “This is his new toy. He is absolutely a “keeper”. I said good morning to him this morning, he got up off his bed and came to me wagging his tail all the way. He is a beautiful creature and has diminished the pain of my Mac’s loss.”

Kathy had recently lost her other Dane and we are glad Grady could help her with her grief.

Beau In His New Home

Beau In His New Home

Our thanks to Jennifer and Judy for adopting sweet Beau. Here is what they said about his adoption: “Beau and Maggie (our 8 year old girl) sleep next to each other at night. Today they actually played with a tug toy. Maggie is still a little cautious of his energy. Overall, Beau is super happy and content. We just love him! He is a great addition to our household.”

Thanks to Jennifer and Judy for hanging in there until Beau had his entropian eye surgery and could go to his new home. Patience pays off!
