Just a whole bunch of super cute photos of this lucky pair of Great Danes. Thanks to Gayle and Glen Cook for always sending great photos of their two rescue Danes. (Not sure who loves Glen more, Bodie or Stevie)
Despina was thinking about adding another Great Dane to her home as a friend for her handsome boy, Emerson. I guess somewhere along the way plans changed because Despina just sent us this photo of Emerson’s new friend. Emerson had never met a cat before but was very good when they first met.
Thank you Despina, for sending us this cute shot!
Thanks to Leslie for sending us these wonderful photos of their new girl Katie. Here is what Leslie wrote to us:
“Katie (formerly Kady), has made a home in Walnut Creek. Her new adopted family had lost their second Great Dane (also named Katie!) and this little girl has filled their hearts. Katie continues to be a little shadow. She walks from room to room with her new owners. She has many pillows throughout the house, loves to play with toys and is even getting along with her new cat brother, a Maine Coon. She is mellow, sweet and a quick learner. She shakes excitedly when she knows it’s walk time, and she is loving checking out her new neighborhood, which has its share of dogs, hiking trails and even cows in the pasture.
She has met the owners’ friends and relatives, and all have commented on how well behaved and loving she is. The new family wants to thank Great Dane Rescue of Northern California for adopting out such a special girl.”
Our thanks to Leslie and her family for adopting this sweet girl from us!
Jennifer Hoffard sent us these cute photos of her newly adopted Dane Inga with her other rescue boy Beau. Here is what Jennifer wrote to us: “I have now adopted four Danes from Great Dane Rescue. They have always picked us perfect dogs for our family based off of our current dogs needs and have been supportive with the integration process.”
Thank you Jennifer for those kind words!
General’s owner, Katie Stowe, sent us these photos of General practicing Yoga. (These photos look suspiciously like sleeping to us, but who is to judge!)
Thanks to Katie for always keeping in touch.

Not to be confused with brindle Lucy just adopted, these are wonderful photos of another Lucy. Her owner, Jenna, wrote this to us about Lucy:
“Just wanted to let you know that Lucy is doing great and is a wonderful addition to our family. She has adjusted well to her new surrounds and is super loveable. We love her dearly and thank you for the opportunity to adopt her.”
Lucy is a sweet, deaf girl adopted in March of 2017. Thanks to Jenna for taking on a special needs girl!
Photos below are of newly adopted Lucy with her ‘brother” Barney. Barney was adopted a few years ago from us by LONG time adopter Martin Daly. Martin has a way with dogs, and seems to adopt the ones with issues that most people probably would not choose. Barney was just such a case. Thanks to Martin for being such a good Dad to all the Danes he adopts from us.
