Watson’s Birthday Celebration!

I know, you are waiting for that fantastic birthday photo, probably with cake and a hat.  But this is Watson, and his owner Jenna says his favorite thing to do is lounge around all day like a lazy bum!  So for Watson, this is the equivalent of cake and a party hat!

Here is what Jenna wrote to us about Watson:  “We absolutely adore Watson, he was the perfect addition to our home and now we cant imagine not having him around.  He really is the biggest love bug!  He greets us as we walk in the house or when we pick him up from daycare and instantly leans against us, not wanting to move.  We have discovered he LOVES meat!  He stole a ribeye that was fresh off the grill and has tried to steal smoked brisket a few times.  Watson enjoys visitors but barks whenever Kit does.  Kit is a drama queen and has a tendency to rub off on Watson.  He usually stops pretty quick once he realizes there is someone else that can scratch his ears.”

Opal with new “brother” Angus

We hear there was a bit of an adjustment for these two, but I think sharing the comfy bed is a good sign!  We so love  it when new owners are patient and give the new Dane a chance to settle in.  Thank you to the Dishno family for hanging in there.

Brooklyn In Her New Home

Brooklyn is enjoying her new home with the Cozine family and her “sibling” Izzy.  Thanks to Alyssa for adopting Brooklyn and providing her with a wonderful, loving home.

Here is what Alyssa wrote about Brooklyn:

“It’s been a while since I sent you an update so I wanted to touch base and let you know that everything’s great!  Brooklyn is such a huge part of our family and we love her to pieces – even Izzy loves her!  She loves going on walks, our bean bag chair, blankets, and chasing the ball with Ben.  I have a two year old nephew that absolutely adores her.  We are so thankful for everything you’ve done for our sweet girl!

Maui (formerly Aries) In His New Home

Our gratitude to the Toutai family who adopted Aries from us.  The whole family came to meet this skinny, really wild puppy who just wanted to jump up on everyone and was WAY too friendly with their female, if you get my drift.  But they took the challenge and adopted Aries and did what they needed to do to have him settle in and be a good dog!  A huge round of applause to this great family!

They sent these cute photos with this note: “Aries, now Maui, is doing fantastic!  He has become best friends with our chocolate lab Nala.  They loved playing tug of war – running around the trampoline in the backyard – and I caught them cuddling together as they were sunbathing today.  Maui is doing great with our three children (9, 8, 5).  They have fun playing catch with him!  Maui is settling in and is such a good pup.  Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to be his new family!”
