Cole and Maddie – Still In Love

Cole and Maddie – Still In Love

It is so wonderful to see two dogs who have so completely bonded.

More super photos from Brian and HIllary of their girl Penny.  What a life!

(Just to refresh everyone’s memory, Penny was the Dane that came in heartworm positive.  Brian and Hillary took her in as a foster dog, took her to all her appointments while undergoing treatment, worried about her, fussed over her, and eventually adopted her when she was cleared by our veterinarian.  Lucky Penny!)

Sascha’s 11th Birthday!

Sascha’s 11th Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Sascha!  Adopted by the Moraes family many years ago, she is still up and moving and doing well.  I am sure it is due to the love and special care Kathy provides!

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Tank and Santa

Tank and Santa

tankTank, adopted by the Robnett family, occasionally goes to doggy day care at Charlie’s Place in Reno just to hang out with other assorted dog friends, and was lucky enough to have his photo taken with Santa.  Thanks to Jessica and her family for putting up with Tank and for the help she provides to our Karen Martin in Reno with her foster Danes.  It is definitely a team effort!

Fireside Great Danes – Bella and Leo

Our thanks to the Mason family for adopting these two Danes and obviously making them part of the family.

Photo below shows them snuggling fireside, most likely dreaming of Santa…..or hoping to audition for the roles of Santa’s Reindeer!

Rudy (formerly Royce) – brother to Bentley – now Levi!

Rudy (formerly Royce) – brother to Bentley – now Levi!

rudyrudy1rudy2rudy3rudy4Here is what Rudy’s new owner Trish wrote about him:

“Rudy and his sister Lulu the beagle ,are quickly becoming best buds and they regularly sleep together in one bed at night.  He’s filling out more and more every day an we estimate him at around 145 lbs currently, with a lot of it in muscle as he gets tons of exercise daily.  He’s also our neighborhood favorite with most of my neighbors yelling “Hi Rudy!” accompanied by pets and love whenever they see him walking down the sidewalk.  Such a happy man he is.  He does especially well with the little kids and older handicapped folks rolling around.  We’ve got a senior facility in the are and he likes to take walks down there when it’s a pretty day and people are out and about.”

We thank Trish and her husband for adopting Rudy and giving him a wonderful, loving home!

Mom and Dad???

Mom and Dad???

cliffordOK, now Clifford is totally confused!  Is he a Dane or a horse?  He will have to rethink this….

Clifford, the amazing city boy checking out what he now must think are his country roots.  Thanks to his Mom Sherri for sending this photo.

Dozer In His New Home

Dozer In His New Home

Thanks to Heather Valle and her family for taking Dozer into their home.  Heather has been a great foster care home in the past and we feel so lucky she choose Dozer!

Here is what Heather wrote to us about Dozer:

“Well it has been about a month and our big boy has completely settled in.  He and his new sister Violet are best buddies.  He gets so excited when we get the leash out to and ask him if he wants to go to the barn.  He is such a snuggle-bug.  I’ve included some photos of him at his two favorite spots, down at the barn and his new spot at the top of the stairs.”newdozernewdozer2newdozer4

Buddy – Formerly Yukon

Buddy – Formerly Yukon

buddyyukonOur thanks to the Dionne family for adopting Buddy (formerly Yukon) into their home.  Here is what they wrote about him:

“Buddy is a big hit at the boy’s soccer games, drive thrus, walks and everywhere we go.  He is not destructive at all when left alone.  He likes to fetch, play indoor soccer with the family, and give my hiding spots away during hide and seek.  He’s very happy and loving life.”
